MSG 8: “Don’t Count Anyone Out” - Resurrection Sunday Altar Call Message

Opening:
i. Approximately five to six weeks ago, The Spirit of the Lord spoke to me regarding some pains and problems of people, “Don’t Count Anyone Out.” Meaning, toran, you are not to ever give up or quit on someone. God said, “I did not make you that way, despite what others may do or called to, you can not be that way.”

Prayer:
Let us pray…,

Introduction:
1. He knows my name by Israel Houghton lyrics state this:

I am not Forgotten
I am not Forgotten
God knows my name

I am not Forgotten
I am not Forgotten

I am not Forgotten

I will praise you
Yes, I will worship you

For I am fearfully and wonderfully made
He knows my name
He knows my every thought

He hears me when I call

Zeph 3:17 NIV
17 The LORD your God is with you,

2. splash-in.com has been about getting into God, being committed to Christ as He has sacrificed Himself for us, about going further and deeper in our relationship with God. And basically, it deals with having to start from somewhere or possibly having to start back somewhere.

a. From the very first message it has been about Love at First Sight. We followed that message with the very moving message to Make your life Count. Then our brother and Administrative Leader shared last week for this week to come “Returning to our First Love.”

b. I whimpered myself last night after calling out to God in broken prayer, Lord the only thing that satisfies me completely is my First Love, You, Your Word, Your Comfort, Your Acceptance, and How you delight in me, and I can Count on Your Love for me without conditions.

I. Biblical Characters who dealt with being Counted Out and Forgotten

A. Cain- Gen 4:4-7
5 but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell.

6 So the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? 7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it."

B. Leah and Rachel; and Hannah

C. Naomi
Ruth 1:20-21
20 But she said to them, "Do not call me Naomi ; call me Mara, for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me. 21 I went out full, and the LORD has brought me home again empty. Why do you call me Naomi , since the LORD has testified against me, and the Almighty has afflicted me?"

D. David-

E. Paul
Acts 14:19-20
Then Jews from Antioch and Iconium came there; and having persuaded the multitudes, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing him to be dead. 20 However, when the disciples gathered around him, he rose up and went into the city. And the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.

G. But the Ultimate Servant Savior not to Count Out- but those of his day did

Jesus The Resurrection
Acts 3:13-19
the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go. 14 But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, 15 and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses. 16 And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

17 "Yet now, brethren, I know that you did it in ignorance, as did also your rulers. 18 But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled. 19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

Acts 13:26-35
26 "Men and brethren, sons of the family of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, to you the word of this salvation has been sent. 27 For those who dwell in Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they did not know Him, nor even the voices of the Prophets which are read every Sabbath, have fulfilled them in condemning Him. 28 And though they found no cause for death in Him, they asked Pilate that He should be put to death. 29 Now when they had fulfilled all that was written concerning Him, they took Him down from the tree and laid Him in a tomb. 30 But God raised Him from the dead. 31 He was seen for many days by those who came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are His witnesses to the people. 32 And we declare to you glad tidings — that promise which was made to the fathers. 33 God has fulfilled this for us their children, in that He has raised up Jesus. As it is also written in the second Psalm:

'You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.'

34 And that He raised Him from the dead, no more to return to corruption, He has spoken thus:

'I will give you the sure mercies of David.'

35 Therefore He also says in another Psalm:

'You will not allow Your Holy One to see corruption.'

V. Jesus will not count anyone out nor Allow me to give up, quit, or count you out.

A. Because the true testimony is that, and I am speaking to us all, I began to remember how I lived in sin after having known the Lord well, and I can not imagine from both sides please do not give up on me and yet years mounted up that is a long time to be clearly away from God…Mercy!

A) A Peace of Cloth

John 20:5-9
5 And he, stooping down and looking in, saw the linen cloths lying there; yet he did not go in. 6 Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying there, 7 and the handkerchief that had been around His head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded together in a place by itself. 8 Then the other disciple, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and believed. 9 For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead.

B) Ezek 47:12
12 Along the bank of the river, on this side and that, will grow all kinds of trees used for food; their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fail. They will bear fruit every month, because their water flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for medicine."
